Monster Truck Jump
Prospectus
MONSTER TRUCK JUMP is a game about one perfect launch. You take a monster truck down a coastal ramp, hit the lip flat out and fly as far as you can out over the lagoon, flattening a row of parked cars on the way down. A run is over in seconds and ends one of two ways: a landing you feel good about, or a spectacular wreck that leaves the truck genuinely crumpled. Both pay. Cars crushed and metres flown are banked as cash, and the cash buys your way up an eight-truck ladder from the free clubman PHOBOS to the 28,000 WHITEOUT, each one quicker off the line and further through the air than the last. Rather than an abstract high score, a fixed field of fourteen rivals runs from 35 metres to 370, so there is always a specific name sitting just ahead of you to take down.
How it plays
One thumb, one skill: catch the sweeping needle in the green. Tap to launch. The top of the green is a HOLESHOT and lifts your top speed for the whole run. Too early and you bog down. Too late and you spin the wheels. Tap again to change up. Six gears, same green window each time. Over-rev a shift and you lose the speed you just built. Hit the ramp as fast as you can. Hold anywhere in the air to tuck. It pushes you further but drops the nose. Let go in time to level out. Landing nose-first is a wreck. Use nitro whenever you want to force it. Land on your wheels to bank the run. Land on your roof and you still keep every car you flattened.
Opening an account with this game takes one press: Open the holding, above, and it loads on this page itself — nothing downloads and no form stands between you and the first decision. It is drawn for a flexible screen and takes its instructions from mouse, keyboard or touch, as the game prefers. It adjusts itself to upright and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all present it properly. If a fullscreen control is offered, take it — a growing enterprise deserves the whole desk.
Monster Truck Jump — questions from the readership
What does it cost to open Monster Truck Jump?
Nothing, at any point. The holding is free from the first click to the last upgrade — no account to open, no download to wait for, no paywall filed anywhere in its pages. The advertising around this page is what pays the bookkeeping.
What kind of game is Monster Truck Jump, exactly?
We file it on the Racing shelf of the ledger. It is a browser game through and through — the prospectus above is the publisher's own summary of what the game asks of you and what it gives back.
Can I play Monster Truck Jump on a phone or tablet?
Yes — it runs in the browser on phones and tablets just as it does on a computer. It adjusts itself to upright and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all present it properly.
Is there anything to download or install first?
Nothing at all. Monster Truck Jump is an HTML5 game: press the open button and it loads on this very page, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind on your device.
