Aquarium of Surprises
Prospectus
Aquarium of Surprises is a calm idle game about a small tank. Fish swim on their own and earn coins while you decide what to add next: 10 kinds of fish, 7 plants, 7 decorations and 11 upgrades, each with a clear effect. Events arrive quietly — coin bubbles, a drifting chest, glass to clean, or one of 6 rare visitors that joins a collection of 16 creatures. Pearls unlock special decorations and 4 aquarium themes. No timers, no pressure, no forced ads. All graphics are vector, the sound is synthesised in the browser, and the whole game is under 150 KB.
How it plays
Watch the tank: every fish earns coins by itself, there is nothing to click. The top bar shows your coins, income per second, pearls and aquarium level. Open the Shop to spend coins. Tabs: Fish, Plants, Decor, Upgrades, Themes. Each extra fish of the same kind costs a little more; plants and decorations are bought once. Upgrades raise income, extend the offline reserve and make events more frequent — every card shows the current effect and the next level. Catch events when they appear: tap coin bubbles, spots on the glass and the drifting chest. A rare visitor must be touched before it swims away to join your collection. Tasks give three calm goals at a time and pay coins, sometimes a pearl. Controls: mouse or touch, no keyboard needed. Tapping the water nudges nearby fish aside, Esc closes dialogs. Progress saves automatically and keeps building while you are away.
Opening an account with this game takes one press: Open the holding, above, and it loads on this page itself — nothing downloads and no form stands between you and the first decision. It is drawn for a flexible screen and takes its instructions from mouse, keyboard or touch, as the game prefers. It adjusts itself to upright and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all present it properly. If a fullscreen control is offered, take it — a growing enterprise deserves the whole desk.
Analyst's notes for idle holdings
- Your real currency is the reset. Prestige and restart bonuses look like losing progress; in most idle games they are the fastest progress on offer, priced in patience.
- Automate the bottleneck, not the favourite. The upgrade that multiplies your slowest earner beats three that polish the one already sprinting.
- Check in at the rhythm the game suggests. Idle design is a metronome — short, regular visits beat one long stare, because every offline cap and bonus timer is set to that beat.

Yes — it runs in the browser on phones and tablets just as it does on a computer. It adjusts itself to upright and wide screens alike, so phone, tablet and desktop all present it properly.
